Age Friendly Active Communities

Help Us Build an Age-Friendly Community
The Village of Belledune is taking steps to become an Age-Friendly Community, a program that helps ensure our community is welcoming, inclusive, and supportive for residents of all ages, especially seniors.
An age-friendly community focuses on creating safe, accessible, and supportive environments that allow people to age actively, independently, and with dignity.
What Does This Process Involve?
The Age-Friendly Community process includes several key steps:
A commitment by Mayor and Council to support age-friendly initiatives
Input from residents to understand community strengths and gaps
Development of a clear action plan based on community needs
Ongoing implementation, monitoring, and improvement
Why We Need Your Input
A crucial part of this process is completing a Community Needs Assessment. This survey helps us understand:
What is currently working well in our community
What services, programs, or supports may be missing
What improvements would help residents remain active, connected, and supported as they age
Your feedback will directly shape the priorities and actions included in our Age-Friendly Community Action Plan.
How You Can Participate
We invite all residents to take a few minutes to complete the Age-Friendly Community Needs Assessment Survey.
Your voice matters, and every response helps us build a stronger, more inclusive community for everyone.
